Akshardham or Swaminarayan Akshardham temple is one of the largest Hindu temple located in Delhi.
1. The temple construction was started in the year 2000 completed on 6 November 2005 and opened by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam
2. The temple at the center of the complex was built according to Vastu Shastra and Pancharatra Shastra.
3. Exhibits
* Shajanand Darshan- The Hall of Values features lifelike robotics and dioramas which display incidents from Swaminarayan's life, portraying his message about the importance of peace, harmony, humility, service to others and devotion to God.
* Neelkanth Darshan- The theater shows a 40 min film based on the teenage life of Swaminarayan.
* Sanskruti Vihar- The Boat Ride is a 15-minute journey through 10,000 years glorious heritage, using life size figures and robotics to depict life in Vedic India, from family life to bazaars and teaching.

4. The temple consists of 234 ornately carved pillars, 9 domes, 20,000 murtis of Sadhus, Devotees, Acharyas the mandir also feature Gajendra pith at its feature paying tribute to the importance of elephant in Hindu culture.
6. The total area of the temple is 30.2 acres
10. There are 10 Gates of Akshardham temple which represent the 10 Vedic directions according to Vedic literature and it means that godness will come to continue from all the directions
8. The Parikrama around the Akshardham Temple is framed in the form of a pavement comprising of two storeys. The 3000 feet long parikrama has 1200 pillars and 155 pinnacles.
9. There is a lotus garden its shape looks like a lotus when seen from sky view and here the thoughts of great figures like Swami Vivekananda, Shakespear, Martin Luther and other great figures are Inscribed
