Swami Vivekanand's Early Life
Swami Vivekananda is born in Kolkata on January 12, 1863, and named as Narendranath Dutta.
Swami Vivekananda has nine brothers and sisters. His father(Vishwanath Dutta) is a lawyer in Calcutta high court. His mother(Bhuvaneshwari Devi) is a nation lover. His grandfather(Durgacharan Dutta) is a Sanskrit and Parsi scholar and he adopted a monk lifestyle after the age of twenty-five
Swami Vivekananda was inclined towards spirituality from his young age.
Swami Vivekananda's Education
In 1871 Swami Vivekananda was admitted into Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar metropolitan Institute. He did his schooling in 1877 in Raipur. After returning from Raipur to Kolkata he got admission in presidency college and toped in the university entrance exam.
Swami Vivekananda has a great interest in Vedas, Upanishads and other scriptures like Bhagavad Geeta Ramayana, Mahabharat etc.
Swami Vivekananda is very good in Indian classical music.
Swami Vivekananda with Ramakrishna
Swami Vivekananda met Ramakrishna in 1881. After the death of his father, Ramakrishna took him towards spirituality.
When William Hastie is giving speech on William Wordsworth poem 'Tourism' on that time Swami Vivekananda met Ramakrishna to know the meaning of a word 'trance' in the poem.
In the last of 1881 and start of 1882, Swami Vivekananda went to Dakshineswar to meet Ramakrishna & this meeting is the turning point of Swami's life.
In 1885 Ramakrishna got neck tumor and then he went to Kolkata. Swami and his other friends serviced him.
during his last days, Ramakrishna taught his student that servicing mankind is the biggest Karma. Ramakrishna told Swami Vivekananda to take care of math people & on 16 August 1886 Ramakrishna died.

Swami Vivekananda died on 4 July 1902. On that day Swami Vivekananda waked up early and done prayer in Belur Math prayer Room and done yoga for 3 Hours and Later taught his students about shukal-yajur-ved, Sanskrit, Yog Sadhna and talked about opening a Vedic University.
On 7:0pm he has gone in his room and said his students to not to disturb and at 9:0 pm during doing meditation he died at an age of 39 and according to his students he attained Mahasamadhi.
He stated his statement true that he will not live more than 40 years. and near Belur Ganga River his body is fired.
